The Lane County Defense Consortium is a State contracted provider of legal representation for indigent defendants in Lane County, Oregon. Our Consortium consists of fourteen skilled attorneys located in fourteen separate law offices. We are a collaborative group of attorneys working together to better represent our clients.
Our Attorney members provide representation to defendants in a variety of offenses ranging from probation violation proceedings and misdemeanor charges to major felonies. In addition to accepting court appointed cases, most of our attorneys represent individuals charged with crimes in the Lane County Circuit Court and surrounding counties on a retained basis.
If you were arrested, or cited to appear in the Lane County Circuit Court on a criminal charge and cannot afford to hire an attorney, one will be appointed to represent you by the Court. If the Lane County Defense Consortium is appointed to represent you, an attorney will contact you via mail, or telephone. Every client appointed to the Lane County Defense Consortium is assigned an attorney and will have the opportunity to schedule an initial office visit with that attorney. If you have a question about court dates, you can obtain that information from your attorney. If your attorney is unavailable when you call, please leave a message and return phone number and your attorney will contact you as soon as possible.
